With Microsoft shutting down the Zune program, I took stock of how much I've used my Zune HD since I upgraded the iPhone to a 4s.

The player itself hasn't been used for several months. Today I subscribed to iTunes Match and pointed it to the folder marked "music". It all got uploaded and can now be downloaded or streamed to my phone at will.

I regret to inform you that my father Chris Balthrop died this morning at 10:42 A.M. Surrounded by his wife and children.

There will be two services, a celebration of his life in Dallas and an interment in Fort Worth. Details of both services are pending. I will have more to post later

I have been called to Jury Duty on March 7. My mother-in-law tried to talk me into taking an exclusion because I am the primary caregiver of 2 boys under 14 years of age. I told her that as a matter of personal honor I could not do that.

The PET scan came back today. The news was not good. The chemo did not stop the cancer this time. He is transitioning from aggressive treatment to hospice style care. The prognosis is 3-6 months.

The boys and I played again. I read Maisy to Miles, and Simon and I looked at his dinosaur notebook where he has been drawing dinos all week.

...I played with the boys. We read. We drew pictures in Simon's notebook. We watched Cookie Monster videos on YouTube. I was used as a jungle gym.

After Sivi got home, she took the boys grocery shopping and I took the car to be cleaned inside and out. When we both got home, we started watching the DW episode from Christmas Day.
